If I change my mind after booking with a deposit, will I get a refund? The principle of the deposit serves precisely to prevent the customer from withdrawing at the last minute, thus potentially losing a sale to the breeder who was not able to advertise the animal during the period when it was reserved. The answer is therefore: no, you will not be reimbursed.

Will my puppy be potty trained when he arrives?Training a puppy begins at birth and continues throughout its life. Although our breeding routine includes taking the puppies out regularly, cleanliness will not be acquired when they arrive at your home . It should be understood that a puppy can generally only hold one hour per month of age; his sphincter having to learn to strengthen itself to avoid leaks. It will therefore take time, patience and consistency to achieve cleanliness.

What type of maintenance does a Collie require? You should first know that the Collie is a breed that has a surface coat as well as an undercoat layer. Dogs with undercoats should only be shaved in extreme cases since their undercoat will have difficulty growing back; it happens that it only grows back in “clumps”, and sometimes it never grows back at all. It is therefore not recommended to shave a Collie . As this is a long-haired dog, it will be appropriate to carry out at least one (1) to two (2) brushing sessions per week . To do this, you will need a comb to detangle and a brush to remove excess dead hair. During shedding, that is to say when the seasons change, brushing can become daily. Depending on your Collie's lifestyle, he will need to bathe occasionally. If you consider the task too arduous or do not want to dirty your bathroom, the groomers will be happy to wash your dog with the appropriate products.

Can I change my puppy's food?Of course, as long as it is done according to the rules of the art. It is advisable to wait a week after the arrival of your puppy to make any dietary changes. The stress of moving is already affecting his intestinal transit, it is better to wait to avoid your puppy ending up with diarrhea. After seven (7) days, you can gradually introduce the new brand of kibble of your choice by following the following method: • 2 days: 25% new food and 75% old food • 2 days: 50% new food and 50% old food • 2 days: 75% new food and 25% old food The puppy will therefore be able to consume 100% of his new food on the 7th day. Please note that the quality of the food will have a direct influence on the quality of your Collie’s coat.

I already have animals at home. How do I introduce them to my new puppy?Any introduction between animals that do not know each other must be supervised. It is best to first let the animals smell through a closed door, rewarding them at the same time. This will allow them to get used to each other's smells without visual stimuli. Then, gradually open the door, enough so that they can see each other without interacting directly. Continue to reward them so that they associate that the presence of the other is positive. Be sure to have pets on a leash when you open the door completely so that you can moderate any behavior that you consider too intense or inappropriate. It is normal for your pets to react to the arrival of a new puppy. Some will become friends instantly, others will take longer to get used to. Never leave animals that do not know each other together and unsupervised. This could result in injury.

I have young children; Would a Collie be a good idea?Definitely ! The Collie is an extremely docile breed, calm and gentle with children. He is an excellent family dog . However, a young puppy requires supervision and education, just as much as young children. A toddler could inadvertently hurt the dog and vice versa. You must therefore always be present during interactions between your children and a puppy, regardless of its breed. In summary: Yes, under supervision.
